Rick M. Stein
Rick Stein has been a Registered Investment Advisor since September, 1995. He has been a member of the California State Bar since June, 1969. Before moving to the desert in 1986, Rick practiced law in Beverly Hills, CA for about 18 years, mostly in business and securities law. As a lawyer,  Rick brought many securities fraud cases on behalf of clients who had been defrauded, often by large Investment Management Companies.

In his first job as a lawyer, Rick was a Securities Administrator for the State of California for about two years, 1969-1971. In September, 1995, Rick became a Registered Investment Advisor and his firm initially was named Stein Investment Advisory Services. In December, 2020, Rick's firm, then named Rick Stein Capital, Inc. (dba Stein Capital Management), became an Investment Advisor Representative for Belpointe Asset Management. Belpointe performs many important services for Stein Capital Management, including quarterly billing, constant updating on pertinent regulations and other tasks which Rick requests of Belpointe from time to time.  Stein Capital Management pays reasonable fees to Belpointe for its services. 

During his entire career as a lawyer and as an Investment Advisor, Rick has always operated at the highest level of honesty and as a complete fiduciary.  Indeed, operating as a complete fiduciary sets Stein Capital Management apart from most investment advisory firms.  Rick performs all of the planning, and trading services for clients of Stein Capital Management.  There are no other employees other than Rick.
